SWAT REPORT # 123 02-23-09

Ecc 9:10 Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.

"The Ministry" involves a lot more than preaching and holding grandma's hand in the hospital… the ministry has its good duty and its not-so-good-duty… some of the duty is spiritual and some is physical.

We can't wait till our building is fully identified in as good a light as possible, and even though it looks as common on the outside as the tabernacle did against the temple of Diana we still want those who have been invited and have any motivation to come to be able to find the place…so we decided to put the sign up on our ugly building and hope someone will exercise faith and come inside to hear good news.

In photo 123.01 you see the project…we must get this sign up there 123.02. In photos 123.03 and 123.04 you see our work crew…Laurel and Hardy………..oh, yeah and in photo 123.05…Curly. After some trial and error the project is getting a faith-lift 123.06. "Man this job is for the birds" 123.07. Oh, well, all's well that ends well 123.08 and 123.09…now all who are interested can make a knowledgeable decision. We expect the church to be packed Sunday.

Actually, we have held our own through this winter…and our church has grown much spiritually. We have some really great young preachers and some great ladies who serve in the church. This spring when we fix the outside and build a much needed addition and clean up the yard we truly do expect a good flow of new blood.

In photo 123.10 are the paper faces of the children from the new Bible study in the new town called Intorsura Buzaului…try not to swallow your tongue. These kids were taught a Bible lesson by Robin and Mary and then given some crafts to enjoy…this study is working out very spiritually profitable so far…please pray for this.

Photo 123.11 is our newest street preacher named Petrica. He is a great guy who we have hopes will get in with all his heart. He is fully headed toward that end. This was his first street meeting and he did not intend to preach…but I challenged him to just give his testimony and he said, "Give me a Bible" and grabbed one of ours and went to it. I thought I was going to have to tell him "OK, that's enough, it's time to quit." But he did an excellent job of ministering for the first time. Praise the Lord.

In photo 123.12 there are two cuties…an old one (my 64th birthday) and a young one (Mary and Cornel's daughter Pricilla) My hat was given to me by the students in our church

Finally, in photo 123.13 I thought you might want to see a very common sight in Romania that is difficult to find in America. These are freeze dried clothes. Notice snow on cars below.

Love to hear back from all of you…

Doing what I can with all my heart on the eastern front.
