SWAT REPORT # 117

Joh 16:24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.
Gen 13:15 For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.
Neh 2:18 …And they said, Let us rise up and build. So they strengthened their hands for this good work.

HE DID IT…YES HE DID…NO ONE ELSE COULD…SO HE DID IT

A brief history must be understood before the blessing can be fully digested. The Logan family and the Sutek family came to Romania four years ago in Oct. 2004 to do what we could for the Lord in the short time before the false prosperity and materialism swept across eastern Europe and also before the rapture. We began a church in a home but within 8 weeks we had rented a store front building for a decent price. We paid rent until our contract expired in Aug. of 2007. The new contract doubled the rent and put it far out of range for our budget. In anticipation of this we renovated a cow barn on the Logan's property (they also rent) and made it a beautiful church. I would give $100 dollars to have some "before" photos of that cow barn. You just would not believe it. It is more than sufficient for us but………………….it is out of the city. We have virtually not grown since we moved out there. It is just not at all convenient. Via our vans we have been able to maintain our membership and attendance but we have prayed and asked for property of some kind which we can own inside the city of Brasov. Many of you have also prayed for this. But this became increasingly more IMPOSSIBLE. The prices of real estate have become some of the highest in any country in the world. We prayed on and some of you prayed on. God specialized in the IMPOSSIBLE.

In photo #117.01 is a building on a bit more than an acre of prime property. This was given to us by a very rich Pentecostal man in Brasov. This building, though quite rough at present, can and will be renovated into our new church. If the good Lord can use us to turn a cow barn into a nice church…the Lord can do it for us again. Photo #117.02 is some of the grounds surrounding the building. Looks like a lot of work.

Near the end of our first church work day you can already see improvements in photo #117.03. All did what they could as seen in photo # 117.04. Photo 117.05 catches some of our common laborers on a water break. #117.06 catches them horsing off while the others slave away…see photos #117.07, #117.08, #117.09. The inside is just as rough…photos #117.10, #117.11 BUT IT IS OURS.

Bro. Logan is to be credited with the vision, planning and courage to put our need before this man. Bro. Logan never asked for the property but rather asked to buy it. He had about $20,000 dollars at his disposal at this time which would not serve as a down payment on a down payment. The man saw our need and acted in accord with many of our prayers, and yours as well.

The location could hardly be better. We are just barely past the city limits sign…on a main road in and out of Brasov…200 yards from a major bus stop which is well known to the citizens. Less than a mile from a booming residential housing construction project and near to another main road under construction which will be a truck route around the city.

Why not rejoice with us…especially if you prayed for this…better yet come see it for yourself. Better yet come help us with the work. Yea, that is the best option.

Meanwhile, the ministry continues. In photos #117.12, #117:13, #117.14 the college students have a marshmallow roast in our front yard. These never fail to delight no matter country, race, age…all enjoy a song, Bible lesson and roasted marshmallow. You are never too old.

Please pray for the family shown in photo #117.15 just to Robin's right…these are Eugene, Sanda, and their son Alex. They are some of our neighbors and they need the Lord. They have been to church and Alex loves the company of the college students but no decisions have been made. Pray now for Alex as he has a physical disability and walks with great difficulty. Even today he is being treated for this malady. He is witnessed to continuously.

Who would ever have thought our church in Brasov would own its own land and buildings in eastern Europe…God would have…AMEN! What a wonderful location for the mother church for all the future ministries the Lord has planned for us.
