SWAT REPORT # 96   10-29-07
Eze 2:5  And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear,
(for they are a rebellious house,) yet shall know that there hath been a
prophet among them.

PREACHING TO NOBODY
In the tiny village of Harmon where our church is currently located we
held a publick meeting in the center, by faith, while others went house
to house.  I say "by faith" because there are bursts of activity in this
center like when the bus from Brasov pull in and 15 people get out.  or
when two cars and a large truck happen to enter the intersection and the
same time that a mother and daughter are crossing the street going home
from the general store.  After Sergiu preached I spoke in his ear, "If
you can preach with heart to nobody...you can preach to everybody."  He
quickly corrected me, "I didn't preach to "nobody." He then informed me
that behind the bus shelter was a small bar where there were upwards to
twenty men enjoying their liquid sin but well within earshot of our
preaching.  This remined me of a multitude of small towns in America
where I have instructed the faithful local pastor to remain faithful to
publick ministry even if "nobody" was visible.  Many years ago I heard a
faithful publick minister say on a similar occassion when asked why he
was preaching when nobody was visible he simply responded, "Because God
likes it." 1Cor. 1:21...it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching
to save them that believe. In photo #9601 you may feel the desolation as
we minister...but if you look very close in #9602 you will see the
fenced saloon and the men within range of our ministry.  The good Lord
always blesses faithfulness.

In photo #9603 on another street meeting a man is devouring a John/Romans.

Deu 6:7  And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and
shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou
walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.

In photo #9604 the children sing before the others during SS.  These
kids have been faithful now for nearly 6 weeks...they are generally
better behaved during class and church than many we have observed in
USA.  They are majority Gypsy children...notice the traditional dress
and hairstyle on the beautiful tall girl in photos #9605, 9606.  Not all
Gypsies wear this style.  These children absolutely love church...they
love being there...they love their classes, their teachers, they love
the pastor and his family...so much so that yesterday two full hours
before the evening service these kids congregated outside Logan's window
and sang their SS songs to serenade their pastor while he studied for
the evening preaching.

Lastly, in photo # 9607 entitled, "Moon over Budila"...this is the kind
of surroundings we must endure while ministering here on the eastern
front.

Thanks for your faithful support both in prayer and finance...call us
sometime
on our new US number 850-390-4003...but keep in mind we are 7 hours
AHEAD of EST...
