OUR MINISTRY REFLECTED This past Sunday one of our good men, Cornel, was the first man in our ministry to minister on his own to our adult church body. He taught adult SS all in Romanian. This was a thrill both for our people and us and served as a beginning mile marker toward our replacement by these good Romanian men. Our Bible institute finishes the first course of study at the end of May. This was a basic course of three semesters designed to produce faithful, grounded, and capable men who shall be able to teach others. Peter will be graduation and Johnny will finish his first semester. The next two Sundays will give these two good men the same opportunity to minister to our church. We are very glad to have had a small part in these men's ministries and pray they will remain with us until they come to the measure of the stature of fullness in Christ. Photo #8304 and 8305 show Cornel ministering with two of his gifts, drawing and teaching. Pray for Cornel and his wife Mary…and their little one shortly to come.

EUROPEAN UNION HAS A LOT OF WORK TO DO In photo # 8303 you can see the two flags here in the country. On the right is the flag of Romania and on the left is the flag of the European Union. These are both proudly flown here on the village administration building in the village of Tarlingen. In photo # 8302 is part of the village of Tarlingen. I only walked 50 yards between taking these two photos. As you can see, the European Union has it's work cut out for them. As I have stated in these reports previously, so far the only affect the EU has had on the people of Romania has been to distract them, by the promise of material wealth, from the more important matters of life and eternity…that being the salvation of their souls via the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. These people have a loooooooooooooong way to go in the area of material prosperity which will be very unsatisfying in the end, but they could have salvation and the peace of God instantly if they would just obey the gospel in believing in the Lord Jesus Christ. Pray our ministry of the gospel can penetrate this facade of prosperity.

VICTORY IS SWEET In photo # 8301 we hold yet another street meeting…but nowadays we hold them without police interference. For 2 ½ years we have become nearly on a first-name basis with the police. They showed up to harass us nearly every time or every other time we preached publickly. They insisted on a local permit though we had complied with every national law and regulation. Finally, we have met them on the battleground of the courtroom and we have walked away in victory. Though the battles and wars may be long and tedious and though you may wonder concerning the outcome…thanks be unto God which giveth us the victory in our Lord Jesus Christ. Many thanks to our attorney in this matter…Daniel Gruia. May the Lord grant him understanding of the things of the Lord. READY TO DELIVER Photo # 8306 is a common sight here but few have ever seen this back home. Maybe you already know the fact of life that babies come from the delivery of the stork…but did you know where the storks come from. Some of them come from this nest which precariously sits atop a concrete power pole. Many Romanians do not have electrical power running to their home but this stork does. This stork is busy within our church. He just delivered a new baby to Mihai's home in Racos and now he is taking off to deliver one to Cornel and Mary. Rejoice with these.

SPRING HAS SPRUNG My mother used to say "Sprig has sprug" as if you would say the above with the affect of allergies. The weather has been most delightful since February and we are enjoying our patio and the resurrection of the earth displayed before us. Mary Bethany is somewhat affected by all the bloomin about but not like in her youth. It is cool today but pleasant in the bright sunshine. Many changes all around us…neighbors moving out and in…ministry changes…national changes…Zanders to arrive shortly…but thanks be to God…He changes not. I am saved from my sin…always will be…happy about it and at 62 and after 40 years of ministry…I can't wait for the next assignment from the Lord Himself. Can't beat that for abundant life in the Lord Jesus Christ
