SWAT REPORT # 75 01-06-07

Psa 51:7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

Tis a great verse to preach this time of the year…unless you minister in Miami or Honolulu. We are faithful on the street 52 weeks out of the year and have been for a couple of decades. In photo # 7501, Bro. Chuck Zander preaches in the center in English…there are always some who respond to this…some good…some bad. In photo #7502 Bro. Chris Smith preaches via our interpreter and faithful member of our church Cornel. This was Bro. Smith's first time preaching in Romania and he did a marvelous job and enjoyed it. In photo #7503 you will see the Smith family upon their arrival in our home on New Year's day. We threw Chuck Zander into this photo just for fun. The Smiths will be with us for the month of January trying to find the Lord's mind on their future life whether in Romania or anywhere else…they could use your prayer for wisdom. We had lots of help on this street meeting with three of our Romanian men from our church in Brasov and some of their family. In photo # 7504 Mary Bethany is always a great help even though she doesn't know how to wear a hat…and that must be contagious because her friend Alexandra (another helper and her dad is a street preacher in our church) hasn't figured out how to wear her hat either.

Bro. Zander preached in Budila on Thursday night and several young people bowed their heads and trusted the Lord. The language barrier makes all things difficult but we are trying to follow up and make certain of their conversion. Bro. Zander is ministering in Racos every week now and this is a genuine blessing to the citizens of that community as well as to our general ministry.

The scenery is breathtaking as you may enjoy in photo #7506 and so the crew went sled riding in #7508…I am over-the-hill so I don't want to hasten the down hill process. It is so cold over here that even the statues wear fur hats…see photo #7507…look close…

I have been driving for 47 years and this past week I used snow chains for the first time…good thing I had them…they have few substitutes. We had five grown men in the van and not one had ever put snow chains on before…took us about an hour but they worked good.

The ministry is very busy as the Lord is working a work in our midst…but He is more than sufficient for anyone who will trust Him.

Having more fun than a missionary ought to be able to have on the eastern front
