John 5:43   I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.

My favorite street sermon this time of year begins, “Don’t lie to your kids about Santa Clause…tell them the truth about Jesus Christ.”  This never failed to get a response of some kind in the states…with the language barrier…it is not too great over here…the verse above I believe really applies to this at this season.

I am always reminded of a publick ministry incident about 17 years ago in Portland, OR.  Not caring or fully realizing what the season was but looking for a crowd…we walked into Portland on about this date and found a crowd gathering as the city workers were assembling a concert pavilion.   We began in the usual manner but noticed an unusual amount of concern for our presence.  A lady from a nearby shop came and confronted us with an ultimatum, “Either you leave immediately or I will call the police.”  Well, what’s new in Lake Wobegon…I told her to do what she had to do and I would do what I had to do.  We finished our street meeting but as we started toward the motor home we saw the reason for the unusually high resistance…The bands were gathering for the parade to welcome Santa to Portland…they wanted Jesus off the street because………… “Here comes Santi Clause, Here comes Santi Clause, right down Santi Clause Lane.”   Yea…now we saw things clearly.

In photos #7202 and #7203 you can see Santa Clause (kinda skinny isn’t she!) stirring up our SS kids………Buuuuuutttttttt shortly thereafter he was soundly rebuked for his deception of the children and a lesson followed, seen in photo #7204 about being deceived by Santa.  It is difficult to see the board but Cornel has SANTA  and under it a rearrangement of the letters into SATAN…This was well done by Cornel and his wife Mary in our church.  The kids both loved it and got a good message. 

In photo #7201 is seen the smiling faces of our group at Racos…Please pray for this work…we have had some broadside hits from the Devil and his helpers in the last few weeks. Things indescribable have attacked this work and it will be quite some time before it fully recovers. 

Bro. Chuck Zander and his family are coming specifically to help in this work and they will arrive this coming May.  He is here right now with two of his grown boys and they are praying and working to rebuild this open door ministry.  Please pray for Racos and the Zander family.

Bro. Logan is ministering in the USA at the present time so my schedule has doubled…sorry I have spaced out the reports but I am a bit spaced out also.  Thanks to all who care about the ministry of the SWAT TEAM for Christ in Romania.
