SWAT REPORT # 58
06-20-06
Matthew 16:18 says I will build my church; and the gates
of hell shall not prevail against it.
WHATS NEW???
EXCITING NEWS
In photo #5801 is the building the Lord has graciously giving
to our ministry. This is not the first time
this photo has been in my reports
some may recall that we asked for prayer that we
might acquire this house/church in Racos village in which to house the church which the
Lord has built in that community. Faithful
readers of these reports will recall the many photos of children and adults that the Lord
has gathered around the consistent teaching and preaching of his Word in this village over
the past year and two months. Because of this
He has generously supplied our ministry with this fine house in a very good location. It is totally paid for
it has very nice
living facilities which we will use immediately for a custodian and in the future for a
pastor
it will be adequate to hold between 80-100 souls for ministry and it has land
in the back for building in the future. We
plan to have a tent meeting on this property in the near future for the purpose of the
grand opening of the church as well as an introduction of the good news to this community. Ours will be the first and only Bible believing
Baptist church located here in a village numbering between 10-15,000 in population. We need only to make some minor renovations and we
will hold our first service there in just a matter of a few weeks. For those who generously gave to this project we
apologize for the long delay in finalizing this property but communism does not operate to
the benefit of either the people or the Lord. We
truly thank all who gave and prayed for this and invite you over for the grand opening. If you read the archived SWAT REPORTS on the web
www.streetpreaching.com you will read quite an interesting history of
The
church at Racos.
PROGRESSING NEWS
We are very pleased to announce that our first semester of Bible
college has come to a happy ending with all the seven who started, finishing with passing
grades
and a few with perfect scores. These
are men in training to pastor works like Racos in the future. The second semester will begin in the early fall.
TRAVELING NEWS
My family and I took some R&R in Spain for the last couple of
weeks. I discovered that I am not a
do-nothing-much kind of person. I would much
rather be in the heat of the battle. But I
cannot deny the benefit of coming apart before you come apart. We did hold a street meeting in Torremolinos,
Spain with very old friends and veteran missionaries Steve and Debbie Cooper
see
photo 5805. They have been ministering in
Spain for 17 years. They were able to start
one work and successfully turn it over to a national and are now on their second work. We were joined on the street meeting b y two other
missionaries who are just getting started in the work of the Lord. This street meeting in Spain brings the total
number of countries we have ministered in to 26 for the glory of the Lord.
We monkeyed around (see photo 5802) on the Rock of Gibraltar
(see photos 5804, 5803) for other views. In
photo 5802 see if you can tell which one is the monkey.
One of the things the rock is famous for is the colony of monkeys which have
consistently inhabited the property there for ever. It
was quite a thrill to be on such a strategic geographic point
something I have heard
about all my life but have only seen on ads for Peninsular Life Insurance Co. But I am glad to announce that
Deu 32:31 For
their rock is not as our Rock,
We are back home and back in the work now and so you may email
us at gsutek@streetpreaching.com or call us from the states at 011-40-268-477-243 or check
