2Jn 1:7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ
is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
"YOU GET ANOTHER BOOK"
Two Mormon missionaries live 60 yards from my front door. I invited them to come for an
American home cooked meal and to discuss their doctrine with my Bible institute guys. The
neck-breaker (for them) was that they were only allowed to use the King James Bible. They
agreed and actually came. It was not a fair fight. My guys ate them alive. Truly, we were
in hopes of them seeing the error of their false religion and the truth of the Word of God
and would make the eternal decision but that did not happen. They fumbled through the
Bible which offered them a KJV-correcting footnote by none other than Joseph Smith at
every doctrinal junction. Their corporate statement is that the KJ Bible is correct as it
is correctly translated. After a couple fruitless hours I called off the dogs and asked
them what advantage it might be for us to convert to Mormonism. They complimented us and
said, "You guys are really doing OK
you know more Bible than we do. The only
thing that Mormonism could offer you is ANOTHER BOOK. We all laughed and testified that
not only were we satisfied with THE BOOK but when we have thoroughly exhausted it we might
try a much inferior book.
NICE BUILDING
Bro. Logan, my partner, has made some miraculous improvements to our church building since
his return from a medical leave to USA. You can view these miracles on our website
www.streetpreaching.com. There is still a lot to do but the building is not repulsive like
it once was. Thanks for all who have prayed and given toward this project. We are so
thrilled to have our own building for the church instead of paying that eternal rent.
TEEN CAMP IN UKRAINE
I was invited to be the main preacher for a teen camp near Odessa, Ukraine. There were 10
missionaries who brought their 70 teens and families and we had a wonderful time around
the Word of God. It was great to fellowship with some old friends Perry Demopoulis, Chris
Rue, Paul Hamilton and Mike Ireland. It was also great to meet new friends I had only
heard of such as John O'Brien, Paul Gray, Jeff Christian, Mark
Prien and several national pastors. I preached morning and night Monday-Thursday and the altar was very warm and wet. Two teens were saved the Sunday before in Chris Rue's church. A 16 year old boy gave a tearful testimony in the AM service and a 14 year old girl gave the same in the PM service. The good Lord gave me a series of appropriate messages using balloons for illustrations and it ministered quite well. I preached 13 times in 9 days in 4 different places. The only glitch in the whole ministerial journey was crossing the borders of communist and former communist countries. Just to give you an idea, I waited 5 hours in line to get OUT of Ukraine then move 100 yards to start the process of entering Moldova then out of Moldova and back into Romania. Fun, fun, fun. Travel in eastern Europe is expensive, time consuming and can be dangerous. PERSONAL Our health is generally very good except for Robin. She has suffered from Histoplasmosis for several years and when she gets too tired, wet or chilled it threatens to take over her body and strength. We would much appreciate your prayers for her as our ministry has always necessitated much travel which takes a high toll on her. Mary Bethany is starting her senior year of high school. I know you can't believe it well it happens. We are trying to get used to it too. I have a new book coming out soon; look for the announcement on our web page. "Sermons for life."
We would love to hear from you. Email gsutek@streetpreaching.com Phone in states but rings in Romania 850-390-4003 seven hours AHEAD of EST.
