For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone;
The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land;
The fig tree putteth forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender grape give a good smell. Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away.

Song of Solomon 2:11-13

FAVORITE SEASON
Yes, April-May is my favorite time of the year and this spring I believe the Lord may just come. Barely noticing the conditions in the world one wonders how He can but hurry on to catch His bride away. Amen??? Rapture drill…let's go. But I love this season because the tourists begin to flood the streets of Brasov. Though we minister publicly all through the winter both preaching and door-to-door, it is exciting to see the fair-weather tour groups again. We have designed a special tour-guide tract for Brasov which is quite well received by these folk. One side is English and the other Romanian so it has an interest for all. The title tells it all, What to see in Brasov and beyond. This great weather also allows us to set up the drawing board again. We always get some lingerers to preach to with this tool. One of our men is a great artist…he draws and our guys preach. When we first took our guys out on the street they would line up behind me…and they all needed a push to get them started. Now, I have to fight to preach within the time. Isn't this a wonderful problem? The change in the weather also promises that we will soon be able to fix up the outside of our building. We did get the church sign hung but the building looks so bad the sign may be poor advertising. When we are able to cut our own entrance from the street this will make a big difference in access for those who may want to attend.

INTORSURA BUZAULUI
Say this 10 times real fast and you will have the gift of tongues. This is the name of the city where we started a new Bible study in the middle of this winter. We are in hopes this tiny group of Gypsies will grow into a real ministry either in that city or one nearby. We have had two adults saved from this group and they all have a wonderful spirit about them. We plan to do some evangelizing there this summer. We drive about 40 minutes there every Tuesday night. I teach the adults in one bedroom/living room and Robin and Mary teach the children in the kitchen. In this, we occupy the entire house. We average about 8 adults and nearly as many children. Please pray for the Boli family who graciously lends their home for this ministry.

PERSONAL
We are all in good health, praise the good Lord. I added another year to my collection since the last newsletter…I am 64. You know, science now says that birthdays are actually good for you…why? Because, the people who have the most of them………….live the longest…scientific fact. So I am collecting as many as possible. Robin is happy to live in a country where there is relatively peaceful conditions both politically and crime-wise…we shudder when we read the headlines in our own country. Mary Bethany is very hard at work finishing her 11th grade of school… hard to believe for all who knew her as a pip-squeak for so many years. We are all very pleased with what the good Lord has given us to do in this stage of our lives. Thanks to all of you who support us both in prayer and finance. Contact us sometime.
