Eph 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or
think, according to the power that worketh in us,
ONLY THE LORD
In the last newsletter we spoke of the miracle of the Lord giving us the land and building
inside the city limits of Brasov. This is still a miracle that is being digested by our
church. On our website are photos of the building and its
development
www.streetpreaching.com in the section on Romanian updates and reports.
The building and property were a royal mess
A BIG ROYAL MESS as you will agree when
you see the photos. Well, with the help of some money donated for the purpose of
renovation and with the rolled up sleeves of the church we attempted an impossible goal.
Bro. Logan had to leave for the states in six weeks for a short medical furlough
concerning a needed operation for a family member. He wanted to have the first service
inside the new building by Dec. 28 before he left. This was a very unreal goal. Well, we
finished it at 10 PM Saturday night Dec. 27. To say we finished it is sort of misleading.
The inside looked quite good but the carpet was only laid not fastened
the windows
were bare
etc. Now, the outside is an entirely different story
again I refer you
to the website photos. Let me put it this way
you must come to our church by faith
because there is nothing that would attract you from the outside. This is like a new
Christian who is clean and beautiful on the inside but still very rough on the exterior.
When the weather breaks in late spring we have a crew coming from Virginia to build a
needed addition and to help with the exterior. Until then we will have to settle for the
ones who will come by faith.
HOLDING ON THROUGH THE WINTER
We are doing well though. We have all of our regular crew and have even had some visitors.
The man who gave us the property has come to several services and says he enjoys it. We
will call him Mr. C for several reasons and you would have trouble pronouncing his name if
I spelled it. He has a masters degree in Theology and is working for a doctorate. These
degrees are through the Romania Orthodox Church but he says he is a Pentecostal. He wants
to bring the two together. Needless to say he is a trifle confused about spiritual matters
so pray for us that we may have opportunity to minister the spiritual truth concerning all
matters.
CONTAGIOUS EVANGELISM
In this late Laodicean period when persuading an average "Bible believer" to
pass out a tract is like pushing a train uphill, we are excited beyond measure to have ten
vibrant, eager, and able young people faithfully doing witnessing door to door in the
towns and city. They also go door to door in the college dorms (we have 17,000) college
students in Brasov. Most of these same come to our weekly street meetings and most of them
jump in front of me to preach first. I know from pastoring and being in churches in the US
how unusual this blessing is. When they come to our home for fellowship there are many
evangelism stories being shared. They most definitely are not ashamed of their Lord.
Allow me this one story please. One of our college students was witnessing door to door in the college dorms when a young man, nicknamed "Pavarotti" asked him to come to his room and talk with him. Our man was eager and showed him the way of salvation. He isn't won yet but please pray for this young opera major, thus the nickname, to come to the knowledge of the truth.
Would love to hear from any and all of you. We have a phone # 850-390-4003 which is like calling Pensacola but rings in our home in Romania. Remember we are 7 hours AHEAD of New York city time. You can email us at gsutek@streetpreaching.com or just communicate us unto the Lord in prayer.
