2:2 And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.
WE HAVE A NEW VISION
Back in 91, that
is 1991 I had a vision. Nothing charismatic
mind you but an inspirational idea of how I could breach the language barriers of the
world and be able to minister the gospel publickly. This
vision was very primitive but it would work
it would work today, but I never
developed it. It lay dormant for all these
years until the Lord sent us a very talented artist who was looking for an opportunity to
use his gift. We put it all together to be
such a great blessing both in the church as well as on the street. I never realized how much something visual would
aid the attention of the normally apathetic passersby on the streets. If you would like to view a video of this ministry
just put this address into your computer online.
LINING UP TO PREACH
Our student preachers from
our church and Bible institute are literally lining up to preach. When we have our street meetings they are first in
line where not that many months ago we nearly had to drag them to the street meetings. This is the joy of my soul to see these young men
take heart to publick ministry. They line up
to preach in the church as well. Praise the
Lord we had a church fellowship just a week ago and introduced popcorn preaching. Six of our men ministered and the church received
all very well. My heartbeat in the ministry
for nearly 35 years has been to train young men to preach and I praise the Lord that He
has given me fulfillment in this area.
What a wonderful verse in Malachi that assures us of the constancy of our great God. However, change in the world is a certainty and eastern Europe is changing so very fast. It is not uncommon to see a Gypsy wagon and horse (called a carutza) being passed on the highway by a BMW or Hummer, or even a Bentley. The traffic in our city has increased nearly threefold in the four years we have been hear and parking is approaching impossible. Money has changed drastically since we came and not at all in our favor. The simplest way of putting it is that if you know a missionary in Europe, their support has been lowered by about %40 in the past 2-3 years think of that in light of your income against your expenses. Add to this the reality that the price of everything has risen steadily to the ceiling and beyond. I feel for the Americans who are feeling the sharp pain of gas prices of $4.00 but we pay $6.50 a gallon.
THE
PRINTED WORD
The world is changing so very rapidly and we must adjust accordingly. I am not suggesting compromise, God forbid, but simply adapt methods of operation to serve the gospel efficiently to the world. For many years we received tracts printed in USA and sent by cheap mail. This is no longer an option. We have received many thousands of Chick tracts from many gracious donors who both bought the tracts as well as paid for the shipping. This has been a great blessing to us over the years and will redound to the glory of the Lord in sacrifice, faithfulness and souls. The present economy of the USA has resulted in the elimination of all low cost mailing. Everything must be sent via air mail which makes this blessing cost prohibitive. But the good Lord has opened a great, effectual door for ready availability of tracts maybe even better than before and certainly more economical. The good Lord has made it possible for us to print and design our own literature.
If you feel like you need to hear my voice just pick up the phone and for the price of a call to Florida, or if you have free long distance calling you may call us on our US # at 850-390-4003 and this will ring in Romania. But remember we are seven (7) hours ahead of Eastern Standard Time.
If you are a citizen of the computer age you may email us at gsutek@streetpreaching.com so let us hear from you once in awhile.
