CHEATING THE GRAVE

The grave is out to get us all and get all it can get. Only one way to beat it…through Jesus the OVERCOMER…(John 16:33) "I have overcome the world." This month, at least 60 souls overcame the grave either directly or indirectly through our ministry. We cannot take full credit for all of these but we participated in events which could record this victory over the grave.

LET’S BLITZ NEW YORK

I’ll bet we had more fun at the street preacher’s convention in NY than the Republicans will have this week at their convention in NYC. We had several hundred gather for exhortation, instruction and exercise in publick ministry in Old Paths Bapt. Church near Rochester, NY. The Pastors Jay Folk and Joe Cammilleri and their people were the most wonderful hosts and made it one of the best organized blitzs in history. We preached in Rochester, Buffalo and Niagara Falls. We preached from the helium balloon 400 ft above the falls and heard reports that the gospel could be clearly understood across the falls and into Canada. What a thrill. We also had preaching over on the Canadian side. We had 52 souls bow their heads, pray and give us their names for follow up. Praise the Lord.

PREACHING TO ANTS ON A SUGAR CUBE

We had a mini-blitz from Sat.-Wed the next week in the Big Apple NYC. Host Pastor Mike Veach is so very gracious, generous and hospitable that most preachers who visit there have a hard time leaving including myself. We put out multiple-thousands of tracts of all sorts. My favorite tract there is the fake $20 bill tract. I’ll bet we flipped 3000 out the window as Pastor Veach careened through the maze of Manhattan. We preached to people like ants on a sugar cube in front of the NYC Library, Macy’s, Bryant Park, Battery Park, and several other places. Pastor Chuck Zander, who pastors the only Bible believing church in Manhattan scheduled “Church in the park” in the neighborhood where he ministers and we had a delightful time on Sunday afternoon in this activity. Seven souls were snatched from the grave throughout the week here in the Big Apple. America’s CITY is hard to beat for publick ministry.

SINCERE APOLOGY

In my newsletter for the months of June/July, I failed to list two Pastors and churches who allowed us to minister…Victory Bapt., Pastor Robt. Nogalski, in Clarkston, MI. and Blessed Hope Bapt., Pastor Bob Joseph, in King George, MD. Sorry guys…please forgive.

STILL TIME

If you hurry…you can still make reservations for the West Coast Blitz in California. This will be the 8^th annual convention there and one of the best throughout the year. There may be space available to accommodate you if you call Ron or Lisa Knudson at 530-432-2366. We preach in San Francisco, Sacramento, and Marysville/Yuba City. Be sure to fly into Sacramento and let us know you’re coming. You’ll be glad you came.

LEAVING SOOOOOOOOOON

The probability is strong that my next newsletter will be for the months of Sept./Oct. and will be sent to you from Romania. We have a busy September laid out for us and then we leave on the 30^th. Thanks to all the churches who have added us to their missions giving list in the past 6 months. We will need it for the work God has set us to do in Eastern Europe. We REALLY covet your prayer.
