HANDFULS OF PURPOSE

Fifteen years ago this newsletter regularly reported a goodly number of souls saved in each month’s time, but for several years this report has been scant. June and July boasts of over fifty souls saved. These are largely connected with the publick ministry of the churches we worked with this month. A few were a result of house to house work. We had a lot of help though. Many personal workers went about the job of witnessing while the preaching was heard in the background. What a beautiful sound to hear the gospel being proclaimed publickly…music to my ears, and I believe to the Lord’s as well. I truly believe the Lord’s ears and heart are attuned to the sounds of publick preaching and soul winning.

ALASKAN BLITZ

Pastor Ron Robinson hosted the first Alaskan Blitz street preacher’s convention to a very high degree of success. Twenty seven skilled labourers in the Lord’s work ministered both publickly and house to house in the following cities. Fairbanks, Wasilla, Palmer, Nenana, Denale, Eagle River, and Anchorage. All of us reported 31 souls saved. If the Lord leads Pastor Robinson to make this annual, I highly recommend your attendance next year.

EURO-BLITZ

Another strong witness against Amsterdam, Holland by 30 veteran witnesses still has not resulted in “preaching the Hell out of Amsterdam.” Host Pastor Jake Hussen sure does a good job hosting and is so very consistent in leading his church in a strong witness throughout the year. We had missionaries from Sweeden, Ukraine, Canada, Germany, and others in Netherlands present. Several were saved on their knees in the publick area outside the train station.

ON THE STREETS

We also ministered publickly in Kalispell, MT, in Coeur d’Alene, ID., with Pastor Tim Haveman, Missoula, MT., and with Pastor John Haveman’s church. In Pasco, Washington we introduced Pastor John Paisley’s church to publick ministry when we took over 40 out for the first time. We preached in two locations and saw 22 souls saved. His people were thrilled with this spiritual exercise as only publick ministry can produce and they swore to continue. The SWAT team loves results like this. We also ministered publickly on the streets of Frankfurt, Germany with Missionary Troy Green, in Heidelberg, Germany with Missionary Tom Castellaw in Brasov, Romania, and Detroit, MI. We spread ourselves over eleven time zones these past two months. Pray I can recover.

IN THE CHURCHES

We were honored to minister in the following churches in June and July. Heritage Bapt., Pastor Tim Haveman, Post Falls, ID., Open Door Bapt., Pastor John Haveman, Missoula, MT, Columbia Bible Bapt., Pastor Ed Henson, Columbia Falls, MT., Gospel Light Bapt., Pastor David Sprunger, Kalispell, MT, Riverview Bapt., Pastor John Paisley, Pasco, WA., First Missionary Bapt., Pastor Troy Green, Frankfurt, Germany, Bible Bapt, Pastor Tom Castellaw, Heidelberg, Germany. We also ministered in Northstar Bapt, Fairbanks, AK. with Pastor Ron Robinson. He is doing such a tremendous job for the Lord up there and his people were just terrific. We highly recommend your prayer, affection and even your visit to these great servants of the Lord.

ROMANIA ON THE HORIZON

My trip to Europe this month included a casual (Ha) 25 hour (no AC) drive from Frankfurt, Germany to Brasov, Romania. I spent a very profitable two days there arranging for our arrival. We now have housing, an address, and a visual idea of just what the Lord has in store for us in the ministry there and throughout eastern Europe. We are looking at a wide open door of opportunity and we are very eager to engage and immerse ourselves in this fruitful work. We have plans to leave USA for our new ministry on Sept. 30, 2004. Please continue to pray that the many details that remain can be taken care of.
