FAMILIES IN ACCORD, SERVING THE LORD
Our theme for the 2003 West Coast Blitz

G.B.E.==Stands for Greatest Blitz Ever.  In the 7th annual West Coast Blitz we had 23 souls saved, counting all the activities associated with the blitz.  We had well over 200 in attendance, and some of the finest preaching and instruction from the pulpit that I have heard in 35 years in the ministry.  I thought the first blitz in Washington, DC was great.  I thought last years was the best...but they just keep getting better.  Make your plans now for all of your family to attend the  2004 blitz in Sept. 23-26.

ON         THE         STREETS

We preached with several old friends of our family, Joe Marshall, Strausbaughs, Mike and Mary Wallace, and Earl Ankrom on the streets of Dover, and twice in Akron, OH.  We had a great street meeting with Pastor Mike Napier and his fine church in Denver, CO. At lease all the punks heard us.  During the blitz we dominated San Francisco, Sacramento and Marysville/Yuba City, CA.  I preached on the campuses of Walla Walla College as well as Whitman College, and downtown Walla Walla, WA.  College students today haven’t got enough brains to hold an opinion.  It seems that all they can do is smirk.  I preached with Pastor Norm Corillo’s church to the devil’s crowd and new-age bookstores in Olympia, WA.  I also joined Pastor Scot Pahlman’s church preaching to a Cider Festival in Marcus, WA. This was obviously the first time many of these local folk had ever experienced a street meeting, but if our ministry in the churches is effective, it won’t be the last.

IN         THE         CHURCHES

We were honored to minister in the following churches in the months of Sept./Oct. 2003.  Bible Believer’s Bapt., Pastor Rich Kipp, Macedonia, OH., Maplewood Bapt., Pastor Tim Huth, Stow, OH., Bible Bapt., Pastor Marco David, Chicago, IL., King James Bible Bapt., Pastor Chris Huff, Chicago, IL., Bible Believer’s Bapt., Pastor Bob O’Neill, Naperville, IL., Bible Believer’s Bapt., Pastor Mike Napier, Denver, CO., Bible Bapt., Pastor Steve Parker, Marysville, CA., Faith Bapt., Pastor Scot Pahlman, Colville, WA., Heritage Bapt., Pastor Tim Haveman, Post Falls, ID., and Blessed Hope Bapt., Pastor Norm Corillo, Tenino, WA.

FAMILY     MATTERS

We passed three milestones this month which we mark as important.  On Sept. 24th we celebrated 15 years of wonderful marriage.  It truly is wonderful to have a wife on the same side of spiritual battles as yourself.  Praise the Lord.   On Oct. 2 we celebrated 16 years living on the road with the SWAT TEAM for CHRIST.  Miraculous as it may sound, in all this time on the road we have never missed a meeting for any reason, whether mechanical, scheduling, weather or health.  Praise the Lord.  And then, sometime in the month of October I was saved 40 years ago in 1963 in New Testament Baptist Church in Miami, FL. I had no idea what a good thing I was getting into back then.   Praise the Lord for righteous milestones.

Mary Bethany continues to have serious allergy troubles even though the doctors have tried many cures. (Mark 5:26)  "And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse," This very nearly applies but we are in hopes that she will grow out of it. Mary celebrated her 10th birthday in October.

Caroline is enjoying life traveling with the team. She has become, not only a member of the team but of our family.  She is a great blessing and asset to both.

Robin is up to her neck with home-schooling.  We spent three days in a mechanic’s shop last month and she had school faithfully around, beside, and sometimes on top of the mechanics.   She hath done what she could.

I love ministering more and more both on the street and in the churches.  I cannot imagine a better life than what I have.  Praise the Lord for   being used by the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

PERSONAL

Generally we are all fairly well, some more than others.  Caroline continues to be a blessing to our family and our ministry.   And........

We continue to have need of nothing but your prayer...
