GOSPEL MESSAGE GAINS NEW HEIGHTS

Niagara Falls, NY. Dateline Aug. 16, 2003, 3:30 PM. The tourists at the falls today received a free fringe benefit. Anyone within a ½ mile and possibly further from the huge helium filled balloon received a free gospel message from on high. As the balloon lifted off with the 15 preachers I began to sing “How Great Thou Art” through a giant megaphone (truth horn). Then we took turn quoting scripture and preaching all the way up and back down. It was first for all of us and as far as I know a first in church history (probably not). We got a big lift out of it but, everything in this world that gives you a lift will surely let you down. HA. This was the grand finale to a wonderful NY state blitz. Several were saved, hundreds attended, and all were fired up. (Click to see picture)

STRANGLED IN SYRACUSE

Dom Mauro, his son Kevin and their friend Mark McLaughlin have been preaching in downtown Syracuse, NY for several years. I have been with them several times. One inflammatory police officer has slowly been strangling their witness for quite some time. All the details will be available later, probably on the web site but we have had to employ an attorney to “unstrangle” that witness. I had a personal police encounter of the 3^rd kind with him this past month. He is the worst police officer I have ever had to deal with. I filed a four page, typewritten complaint on him. I held the complaint in my hand standing before him and told him I would drop the whole thing if he would simply cooperate with us and at least tell us what ordinance we had violated. He cussed me and told me to get out. He is a bicycle cop and with this attitude he will lose his bicycle. Please pray this can be resolved without much legal ado and the streets of Syracuse can be free of strangulation.

ON THE STREETS

As part of the NY blitz we held two huge God-and-Country rallies in both Rochester and Buffalo. A young man visiting our country from Great Britain heard the gospel and was saved there on the streets of Buffalo. He came to the microphone and gave his testimony to masses of people. He was not ashamed to be publickly associated with the Lord Jesus Christ. We also preached on the streets of Lockport, Auburn, and Skaneateles, NY.

BLITZ SEASON NEARING END

You still have time to make plans to come to the West Coast Blitz. Check the web www.streetpreaching.com . We have near a hundred registered from out of town right now and we can no longer GUARANTEE accommodations but you may still attend at your expense. The blitz’s are simply wonderful. They have served to fire and refire many a publick minister through the years. Joe Cammilleri and Jay Folk were the co-hosts of the NY Blitz. They and their great people did a fabulous job with the logistics of such a crowd as we had. The preaching was simply tops and the fellowship was superb. If you are missing these blitz’s... you are missing some of the best that the Lord has for any serious Christian.

Generally we are all fairly well, some more than others. Caroline continues to be a blessing to our family and our ministry. And........
