CAUSING THEM TO KNOW

As time runs out for our nation and as time moves along in our ministry, it would seem that our main duty unto the Lord is to cause them to know. By using any and all righteous means we are to shake, rattle, stir, and turn upside down this untoward generation that they, like Ezekiel’s generation might know that the Lord, He is God. Awakening someone who is heavy into sleep requires consistent and sometimes drastic measures. This is our ministry to this generation. In accord with our times, we flew a brand new banner which may help to accomplish this goal. Read Hab. 2:2,3. This banner, 6’ X 4’ in full color is a photograph of the twin towers, on fire. The words in red across it reads, "WHAT IF YOU WERE ON THE 82^nd FLOOR…WHERE WILL YOU SPEND ETERNITY" "REPENTANCE TOWARD GOD AND FAITH TOWARD OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST". This banner is impossible to ignore. It shakes, it rattles and it stirs. You may view it on our web site www.streetpreaching.com along with a photo of the tail gate of our trailer which bears the same image. To defend the banner and the tailgate I simply answer their railings with, "Please, just answer the question." This sets the discussion upon spiritual grounds.

ON THE STREETS

We were on the streets of both Phoenix and Tempe, AZ. many times this month. Both are "up beat", "progressive", "cultural" communities where the unregenerate populations are simply dressed-up, raw-boned heathen playing out the role of decent citizens. The same pharisaical hatred that caused their forefathers to nail Jesus to the cross quickly surfaces when His ambassadors cry aloud the important news of the day. In Mexico, near Halloween the heathen celebrate "The Day of the Dead". They bring their beer, Mariachi bands, and soccer balls and party all day and night upon Gramma’s grave. There were thousands of them in celebration at two cemeteries where we ministered the good news of the resurrection. Pastor John Howe’s church with native street preacher Ulises Valesquez and I preached for a long time via a "truth" horn (this is a converted "bull" horn) and passed out several thousand "John-Romans" in Spanish. This same crew preached the gospel in the downtown square of Yuma, AZ.

RARE BREED INDEED

If you are looking for the genuine-article to support please consider Ulises Valesquez. He is a bilingual, single Mexican man of around 30 who is really doing the job. It is rare to find a Mexican who can break free of his cultural conservatism and boldly preach on the street. Ulises is that rare breed indeed. I have spent some quality time with him ministering both in US and MX. He is currently working with Pastor John Howe in Yuma, AZ. where he holds a Spanish service for that church on Sunday afternoon and also pastors a tiny church across the border in Algadonas, MX.
