RATTLING THE ROCK CONCERT
Pastor Rich Glen does a wonderful job as captain of his band of publick ministers leading them through several high-rise parking garages tracking as they go. I was privileged to join them in this publick advance of the gospel and then on to a late night rock concert in Pioneer Square in downtown Portland, OR. We arrived there at 9:30 PM and soon gained intelligence that the concert ended at 10 PM. Pioneer Square is an ideal battlefield for publick ministry. It is one city block, all open and one end has steps going up 30-40 feet to shops and restaurants. There is a fountain in the middle of those steps and one can safely gain secure ground even above this fountain for purposes of advantage over the field of battle. Near the end of the concert I positioned myself in just such an "high place" (note scripture above) and as soon as the concert was ended began my barrage. The scene quickly changed to one of military engagement…the righteous against the unrighteous. My message to them was, "I have some important news for all this night. The party in hell has been cancelled due to fire. It has been moved to heaven but you must have an official ticket to gain entry". This was followed by God’s wonderful good news. The position "Wisdom" had chosen could not have been better. The hour afforded virtually no traffic or business noise and thus the Lord’s message was clearly heard by over 500 standing in the "Valley of Decision" (Is. 55:11) The verbal bombardment was supported by rapid fire gospel tracts by fellow members of our platoon. The unsuspecting unrighteous were completely taken by the surprise attack of the gospel and will not soon recover from this most affective battle.
It is the great blessing of my ministry to travel much of the world and join in battle with many courageous and daring publick ministers. It is a great reward to the SWAT team to have begun many of these campaigns and to continue to encourage and support their fearless and fruitful endeavors. "Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition". May the Lord bless our last stand against unrighteousness and crown it with His personal return… GLORY!
ON THE STREETS
The WEST COAST BLITZ was a tremendous blessing this year with several hundred in attendance, superb preaching, and several saved. Our thanks to Pastor Steve Parker and Bible Baptist Church in Marysville, CA for their skillful hosting of this sixth annual event. This convention afforded us the opportunity to preach the gospel extensively throughout San Francisco, Sacramento, and Marysville/Yuba City, California area. We marched, a couple hundred strong down the pedestrian mall area of the capitol city preaching and singing as we proceeded to the steps of the Capitol building for a grand "God and Country Rally." We placed three groups in as many locations throughout San Francisco and I chose the trolley turn-around on Powell Street. Here are gathered several hundred tourists with no more profitable purpose other than the vain observation of the turn-around of the trolley. We filled their day with a much more beneficial challenge. This month we also preached with Pastor John Haveman and his fine church in Missoula, MT.
