THE WAR IN EUROPE

To properly report the first European Blitz would take a small book. To contain it in a newsletter is going to be a good trick. All who attended reported a great blessing from the instruction and the camaraderie. They testified of having received great strength from participating in such activity. We spent a total of 15 hours ministering on the streets of Amsterdam, Holland with a fruitful yield of seven souls. Amazingly, five of these seven showed up at church on Sunday. When you minister in front of "Central (train) Station" in Amsterdam you are literally facing the world. At times I held four tracts in hand offering four languages and just let them pick. The ones who got saved and attended church were from Poland, Nigeria, Surinam, Dominican Rep., Iraq and Portugal. Thank God for the universal language of ENGLISH. Amsterdam’s liberal, immoral community was rattled by our occupation for righteousness. They’ll probably recover. Pray for Jake Huussen and Danny Alford as they lead the troops there. These men agreed that this is to be an annual event so make your plans for 2002.

The last week in Europe Tom Hall and the team rented a car and drove 2400 miles throughout Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Liechtenstein, and Republic of Czech, singing, tracting and preaching the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Nico Verhoef was our very capable guide for some of this tour. He is a missionary in Liechtenstein. Rick Weimer, veteran missionary to Dresden, Germany showed us his beautiful city and took us to preach in Prague, Repblic of Czech.

THE WAR BACK HOME

We arrived in Chicago and drove 8 more hours back to Brewster, Ohio just in time to pick up some "blitzers" for the Great Lakes Blitz. Barely able to function (thus the beginning scripture above) we opened the first annual Great Lakes Blitz. We soon discovered the truth of, "for when I am weak, then am I strong". 2 Cor. 12:10. The attendance was great for a first-time-in-the-area Blitz. We put 80 to 120 soldiers of the Lord Jesus Christ on the battle field in Cleveland, Columbus and Brewster, OH. We rejoiced as 12 souls came to know the Lord as their Saviour. The preaching and teaching was just great. The host church (Brewster Baptist) and pastor (Dave Widner) were extremely pleased with the turn out and can hardly wait for July 2002. Pastor Jimmy Hood hosted us in a God and Country rally on the steps of the capitol building of Ohio. With banners, scripture signs and testimonies over a giant PA system, we delivered the saving power of the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

IN THE CHURCHES

We were honored to minister in the following churches in the month of July. Scioto Valley Christian church, Pastor Don Alexander, Delaware, OH. and Brewster Baptist, Pastor Dave Widner, Brewster, OH.
