LIKE A MIGHTY ARMY
MOVES THE CHURCH OF GOD
We were all in one place, at one time and of one heart. We were strong, united, of good appearance, loud, uncompromising and occupying for righteousness. This was the scene as 200 or more of the Lord’s Army’s best marched down the "K" street pedestrian shopping mall with drums sounding and voices singing and declaring the glory of their Lord (Ps. 96:3). This was in keeping with the theme of the 4th annual West Coast Blitz… "Declaring His Glory". Like the army of Jehoshaphat long ago, "And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the LORD, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the LORD; for his mercy endureth for ever." 2 Chron. 20:21 we called the attention of Sacramento to righteousness, temperance and judgment to come. The Sacramento Bee newspaper gave us front-page photo and story. Earl Ankrom was in the photo featuring his sandwich sign which read, "JESUS SAVES…YE MUST BE BORN AGAIN". Just think of the folks who read this in the privacy of their homes on the front page of their newspaper. We also captured the front-page photo and story in the local newspaper, the "Democrat".
AT LEAST 18 WERE SAVED
This is our own headline…glory to the Lord. We covered a good portion of San Francisco with the gospel. Three busloads were dropped in specific locations and the gospel went forth there for three hours. In the local community near the host church the army flooded the small towns of Marysville and Yuba City. The Lord crowned our blessing Sunday night while the preaching service was in operation, four Mexican migrant workers walked into the back of the church and wanted someone to tell them about Jesus. One was saved and acted as third interpreter to Indian dialect from Spanish originating with English. But they must have gotten it because all three hit their knees and called upon the name of the Lord. We all agreed that since this doesn’t just happen every Sunday it must have been a blessing from the Lord to those who had spent so much time and effort publishing the gospel publickly over the past three days.
The seminar and church preaching portion of the Blitz was the finest that I have ever experienced in my 32 years in the ministry. The Blitz is not just a meeting….it is an experience. A special thanks is in order to the host church, Bible Baptist of Marysville, CA and pastor, Dr. Brad Weniger for their great labor, hospitality and expense in order that this national street preacher’s convention might take place. ON THE STREETS…IN THE CHURCHES
We also ministered the gospel on the streets of Portland, OR. and Grass Valley, CA. this month. This was no shocker to these communities because they get very good publick ministry on a regular basis from local churches.
We were honored to minister in three churches this past month. Cornerstone Baptist, Pastor Mike Bell, Springfield, OR, Downtown Baptist, Pastor Dick Hedger, Sacramento, CA and Bible Baptist, Pastor Brad Weniger, Marysville, CA.
PHONE BOOTH TRACTING ????????
We have all left tracts in phone booths from coast to coast…but does it really do any good. This has been batted around both pro and con. Well, I learned something very interesting this past month. The man who prints the $20 bill gospel tracts was saved from reading a tract left in a phone booth. Now he prints the famous fake twenty tracts we are all so familiar with. If you would like to have some of these tracts just call Bob Hall 530-273-8207, tell him I sent you and he will send you some for the price of the postage. Bro. Hall is not the man who prints them but he loves to distribute them across this country. Try to keep this information from getting back to the treasury department. SERIOUSLY…..
